Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson break up, end engagement

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have reportedly called it quits.
The Coldplay frontman, 47, and the actress, 34, ended their engagement after seven years together, the Daily Mail reported Friday.
The former couple “have now accepted the relationship is over — and it’s best to move on,” a source told the outlet.
Reps for Martin and Johnson did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The “Fifty Shades of Grey” star, notably, has not been with Martin during the European leg of his band’s “Music of the Spheres” tour. (She did, however, check out Coldplay’s Glastonbury set in June.)
She was pictured in Malibu, Calif., earlier this month without her engagement ring.
While it is unclear exactly when Martin proposed, Johnson has been wearing the jewelry on that finger since 2020.
Insiders told us exclusively in March that the pair had been engaged for six years.
The singer began dating Johnson in 2017 following his divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he shares daughter Apple, 20, and son Moses, 18.
They reconciled in 2019 after a brief split.
Although the duo keep their romance private, Johnson made a rare comment about her partner while addressing her depression in November 2023.
At the time, she credited him with “pulling [her] out of” a low moment.
Johnson has also made headlines over the years for her friendship with Martin’s ex, with her and the Goop founder, 51, holding hands in a photo last year.
Paltrow married Martin in 2003, going on to welcome Apple and Moses in 2004 and 2006, respectively.
The exes “consciously uncoupled” in 2014 and finalized their divorce the following year.
